I want to purchase my first home, what do i need to qualify for an FHA home loan? Down payment, income, credit requirements, etc. i make $3,000.00 dollars a month is that more then enough to qualify for an FHA home loan.

we are looking at a house in southern california. it is our first house. we pay 1500 for our apartment right now, and everyone is telling us we should buy while the market is low. we havent even talked to an agent yet but we found a really cute starter home for 250,000. we dont really have money to put down, but we were told we can still look. are we wasting our time?

Can our 2nd mortgage company attach our wages once our home is sold as a short sale?

Our 2nd mortgage company is suing us for $25,000 (the balance on our 2nd after they signed off the lien for the short sale). They have submitted paperwork to attach 25% of our wages until it is paid off? Is their any legal way out of this?

Are there home loans out there for bad credit? Where do you find them?

We have found the perfect home for very little money and need to buy instead of rent since our oldest starts high school next year. My credit probs are due to divorce and my husbands due to him being unemployed for a period of time. We can afford the home payments just can’t find the loan. HELP!!!!

What is the difference between a mortgage and a home equity loan?

I own a home that is paid off but would like to take out a loan to fund some home improvements as well as help my parents pay off their home equity loan. Given this scenario can I take out a mortgage since mortgage rates are lower or am I limited to a home equity loan. I’m not interested in HELOC’s.

What happens to the mortgage on a house that is left to me in a will?

A relative will be leaving me a house in their will. If there is a mortgage (home equity) on the house when they die, do I take over the mortgage? I intend on selling the house when it is left to me.

How to deal with a 2nd mortgage that has been sent to collections?

I’m currently on a repayment plan on a rental property for the 1st mortgage. The 2nd has been charged off by EMC mortgage and sent to an outsourced collection company called LCS. Does anyone have any experience on how to deal with LCS and what rights I have to settle this 2nd mortgage. Can they freeze my assets? Will they seek a Judgment?
