What is the legal age to rent a house in Michigan?
ByMe and my friends were going to rent a house this summer. We know a guy that is moving out, and we personally know the person renting the house out. We are all 19 and some of us will be 20 soon. What age do you have to be to sign a legal contract to rent a house?

You must be 18 in order to enter into an enforceable contract.
You can sign a contract at any age but it is not enforecable if you are not 18. That is why no one will enter into a contract with you until you are 18.

You are old enough, but no more then 4 unrelated people can rent together, after that you run into legal issues.

Usually it is 18, although some landlords hate renting to younger people for fear they will trash the place. Just make sure you put your best foot forward so you can get the place!
